With a mix of friendly higher levels, we quickly bonded as we completed quests together, talked for hours in the guild chat about nothing in particular, and sharing ideas and experiences. While our old group was helpful, it simply paled in comparison to the new one. This was the turning point of my experience with the game. One of them had know someone in another guild, and so the rest of us followed suit. Once my original guild had disbanded, a few of the remaining guild members looked for a new place to call home. The farthest you could travel was to Aoich and the Crystal Mines. Much of what is available in game now was non-existent then. Despite all this, it was an enjoyable experience. It was a necessity to conserve what resources you had at the beginning, for everything you had was hard-earned. It had taken a couple weeks, but at one point I had saved up enough Ely to buy one of the NPC's fashion items. My friend and I joined a small guild, but it did not last very long. At the beginning, it was a long, arduous journey every level required the completion of any quest you could find.
I had joined the OGP server shortly after closed beta had ended.
